WHO WE ARE
Byron Bay Runners was founded in 2011, and we now have over 160 members, including 9 club coaches. Our club members are runners of all ages, ranging from Juniors (ages 8-12yrs), Seniors (12-18yrs), Open (18-30yrs), Masters (30+yrs) and Veteran (50+yrs) age groups. We have an even split of females and males across all training groups, and range from recreational runners running for fitness, social and wellbeing, to national level competitive runners. Our members enjoy taking part in track, road and trail events.
CLUB COACHES
The club has 9 coaches providing their services to our club members, through weekly training runs, at our regular Coaches’ Clinics, and providing individual advice for those runners working towards a particular race/goal. All club coaches with youth squads have Working with Children Clearance, all our coaches have professional indemnity insurance and hold Athletics Australia qualifications (most are level 2 or higher) across High Performance, Recreational Running and Trail Running specialisms. Our coaches are highly experienced competitive runners, many of whom have competed at state, national and even international level; their knowledge and experience help guide our members to achieve their full potential as runners.
